BREAKING NEWS: 516-Page ELD Mandate Announced This Morning

Tony Forrest
Director of Product Management

The FMCSA has announced that the federal rule requiring the use of electronic logging devices to keep records of duty status has passed and will officially publish on Friday, December 11.  While the rule goes into effect December 11, 2017, giving carriers a two-year window to comply, the FMCSA reports that the rule will save the industry $1 billion a year, mostly in time and money saved on paperwork, so fleets are motivated to adopt now.  In addition, the FMCSA says the rule will “save 26 lives and 562 injuries a year,” as reported by CCJ this morning.
