Flashback Friday: At Omnitracs, Acquisitions Drive Expanded Customer Value

In recent years, Omnitracs has expanded its customer base, product portfolio and solutions capability both organically and through strategic acquisitions. Our business has grown to become a global force in comprehensive fleet management solutions for fleets of all sizes, private and for-hire. Here’s a look back at the businesses we’ve added as part of the united Omnitracs brand, and how each delivers added value to our customers.

Omnitracs Analytics: In early 2011, our acquisition of FleetRisk Advisors, a leading provider of operational business intelligence and predictive analytics, signaled our commitment to broadening the scope of our software-as-a-service offerings to better leverage the power of big data. Subsequently rebranded, Omnitracs Analytics solutions analyze broad swaths of diverse data using proprietary algorithms to predict safety risks and other issues, allowing fleets to intervene before issues become critical, thereby improving productivity and profitability.

Omnitracs Sylectus: The beginning of 2011 also saw the addition of Sylectus to our portfolio of business. As a recognized innovator in providing smaller companies with advanced fleet management software, load sharing capabilities and networking for business growth, Sylectus’ complementary solutions enable us to better serve  small to mid-sized fleets’ that need access to advanced logistics applications and services. With its web-based TMS, Omnitracs Sylectus helps growing fleets manage their business anytime, anywhere, with a solution that scales to meet their evolving needs.

Omnitracs Roadnet: Late 2013 brought not only the completion of Vista Equity Partners’ acquisition of Omnitracs, but also Omnitracs acquisition of Roadnet Technologies. A leading provider of fleet management and logistics software applications that provide strategic territory and street-level route plans, multi-stop vehicle routing and scheduling, wireless dispatch and proof of delivery, Roadnet has a successful track record of meeting and exceeding the needs of private and dedicated fleets. By incorporating Roadnet solutions under the Omnitracs umbrella, the combined organization further extends the reach of its technology and our value proposition to fleets with a broad array of operational profiles.

Omnitracs XRS: In November 2014, yet another flagship transportation technology brand was added to the Omnitracs roster—XRS. A recognized leader in mobile-based solutions that enable trucking companies to manage fleets, comply with regulations, and reduce operating costs, the acquisition of XRS further strengthened our core technology portfolio, adding complementary solutions designed to help fleets solve critical business problems.

While the integration of each business brought unique benefits to Omnitracs and our customers, they share a number of common objectives and outcomes. Each new acquisition strengthens Omnitracs’ position as a transportation technology leader. More importantly, the combined company, unified under a single, well-respected brand, continues to deliver transportation management products and services that empower fleets to control virtually every aspect of their business, from improving safety to complying with industry regulations to enhancing productivity and profitability. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished and look forward to further building on the collective strength of our uniquely varied expertise, our continuous innovation and drive to revolutionize the transportation industry, and our ability to deliver best-in-class solutions to our customers.
