Get to know our 2020 Channel Partner of the Year

Our channel partners have helped us expand our domestic and global reach and deliver exceptional customer experiences throughout the years. At Omnitracs Outlook 2020, we celebrated our Channel Partner Program — which has been established since 2012 — by honoring one of our esteemed and valued partners with the Omnitracs Channel Partner of the Year Award. We were very pleased to present the award to Wired Truck, Incorporated.

Wired Truck has been one of our treasured channel partners since 2016 — the same year they were established — and the company was also the recipient of our 2016 and 2017 Channel Partner of the Year Awards. Based in Chicago, the growing business has worked closely with Omnitracs to provide industry-leading technology and expert customer care in order to help their customers stay safe, compliant, and satisfied on the road.

We sat down with our friend, Wired Truck CEO Jimmy Lee, to get some of his thoughts on winning the award for the third time:

  1. How many years of experience do you have in the trucking industry?

I've been in this industry for over 10 years, and I’ve been the CEO of Wired Truck for the last four years.

  1. What does winning the 2020 Channel Partner of the Year award mean to you?

This is one of the proudest moments of my career, and it’s the third time we’ve won out of the last four years. Our Channel Partner of the Year Award validates our commitment to excellence and the professionalism of our team.

  1. To what would you attribute your success?

We work hard every day in the U.S. and the Philippines to ensure that our mutual customers are being taken care of with expedient and first-class service. Our success starts by focusing heavily on our customers’ needs in the front office, back office, and on the road. We put a lot of emphasis on building a service centered around our customers’ needs. We are constantly adjusting to industry trends that bring improvement to our customers’ safety, compliance, and bottom-line.

  1. Can you reflect on how you feel about your channel partner relationship with Omnitracs? 

The relationship we've been able to foster with Omnitracs is priceless. The Omnitracs channel relationship has enabled us to staff two service centers and employ 12 team members in two countries over the last four years. Our unique footprint was built from the ground up to be the ultimate Omnitracs channel partner as a reseller, official service center, and distributor, and this is all backed by a team that consists of sales, sales engineering, installation, technical support, and customer service.

  1. How has your working channel partner relationship with Omnitracs impacted your customers?

Our customers appreciate the ability to buy Omnitracs products, accessories, and services. Being able to ship the same day gives our carriers the advantage they need against their competition, as it helps to keep their trucks operational without the ELD being an impeding factor. In the event of a malfunction where they have to switch trucks and they need parts overnighted, they can rely on us. This is powerful!
