Ever since the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA) and Canadian Industry Association began looking into ELD legislation back in 2012, Omnitracs has participated in the process as an industry leader and commentary stakeholder. With the Canadian ELD announcement around the corner, Omnitracs once again has the privilege to offer our assistance with comments and feedback before the final ruling is made.
Early versions of the Canadian ELD mandate appear to be very similar to what we have seen for the U.S. mandate, but there is always a possibility that there will be changes. Omnitracs will continue to stay on top of any new changes that happen and will share information with the industry as it becomes available.
