Truckload Carriers Association shares 2019 plans for advocacy and education

On March 10, 2019, the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) announced steps they will take to encourage new membership and highlighted how they plan to provide even stronger support to current members.

During the 81st annual TCA conference, TCA president John Lyboldt stated that, after weighing input from members, the association will go into 2019 focused on advocating for important issues affecting the truckload segment of the transportation industry – including electronic logging devices (ELDs), sleeper berth flexibility, and infrastructure.

Another area of focus TCA plans to tackle over the next year will be strengthening the development opportunities provided to members of the association through continued education. Lyboldt noted, “In the next year, the instructional development arm of TCA will roll out an instructor-led educational environment to enable its members to gain comprehensive and profitable approaches across all carrier operational entities that effectively keeps the wheels rolling, and essentially provides themselves with a new and innate ability to tell [their] story.” He ended his talk by stating that TCA plans to engage with its members more frequently for their insights and data, which will ultimately help drive new initiatives.

Omnitracs is committed to helping drive the trucking industry forward, and we’re proud to work with organizations like the TCA who share in that mission. This year marks our 30th anniversary as a member of the TCA and our continuing support as a sponsor of their annual conference.
